Dr. Brenda Trudell, DC
Dr. Brenda Trudell is a 1995 Sauk Prairie High School graduate. She lived in Sauk Prairie her entire life until she attended college at UW-Madison. After starting off with an interest in the medical profession, it was during this time that she became acquainted with chiropractic and a more holistic approach to health and healing. After being involved in a number a car accidents and a major fall while rock climbing, Dr. Trudell discovered that chiropractic care helped her body heal quickly and she was able to bounce back without the use of drugs and surgery. Chiropractic care also allowed her immune system to function properly, which helped her fight an onging health issue that lasted for about 5 months while a UW student.
Dr. Trudell attended Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA. This school is the fountainhead of chiropractic and is the most well-known chiropractic school throughout the world. Dr. Trudell graduated Magna Cum Laude in February 2006. While a student at Palmer, Dr. Trudell used this time to explore many different chiropractic techniques and styles of adjusting. She uses a combination of a number of techniques and has a gentle, unique and tailored approach to each patient. The techniques she uses the most are SOT, Thompson Drop Table, Activator and diversified. While a student at Palmer, Dr. Trudell also became very interested in women's health, pregnancy and children, and how chiropractic can help with conditions in these populations. Dr. Trudell has begun a 3 year post-graduate advanced training program through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA) in treating pregnant women, infants and children. She is certified in the Webster Technique, which is specifically designed for treating pregnant women. She has also begun doula training through DONA and works with many birth professionals in our area. Dr. Trudell's passion is with pregnancy care, and empowering women to make their own birth decisions so that they may have the most natural and safest birth possible. While she does see all types of patients, she would like to eventually focus her practice on prenatal, pediatrics, and women's health.
Dr Trudell is currently seeing patients at her Mount Horeb office Monday-Thursday and at Ancient Healing on Fridays. Please visit her website at www.newbeginningschiropractic.net for more info on her services, prenatal information, techniques, research articles and involvement.
